Release and capture date of 1988 reintroduction not known. In 1990, 47 of the 188 translocated puffin chicks from 1988 returned to Seal Island. By 1992, a total of 92 (47 in addition to the 47 reported in 1990) were sited. 1993 EGG ROCK UPDATE: Between 1984-1989, 912 chicks were fledged and 153 of them returned to Seal Island or one of the other Gulf of Maine puffin colonies.
