Notes: What's This?
Bird's names are Grace and Kiri. Egg removed from wild Kiwi in eastern Kaweka ranges, incubated in captivity at Rainbow Springs, hatched, and raised until reached at least 800 gr. Kiri died 9+ months after release. Grace died 10+ months after release. REARING TYPE: Kiwi are independent almost immediately after hatching- thus there is no particular rearing method.
