Sources state that the macaw is being 're-established', although there is a possibility that a small population exists around the release site. Current population data based on number of macaws seen at feeding station. There were no large eagled at this site and hawk-eagles were at low densities. At the release site, macaws were held in outdoor aviaries for at least 6 months. Birds were fed a mixture of wild foods and basic diet. Formal predator training was not done at any of these sites.
