CAPTURE SITE: for 2001 release, birds were from Waipapa Ecological Area (Pureora State forest). Data here is from later releases, where 135 robins were translocated from the pine plantations to 13 previously unoccupied forest fragments (in the Benneydale region, New Zealand). This fragment has been labeled Bennydale 8 (Mangaokewa). Birds were captured in the morning and released the same day, but some birds were held overnight.
